End of story.
Life can be wonderful and challenging in equal measure—and you don't have to navigate the hard parts alone. Together, we'll work to help you feel more connected: to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to be living.
Trauma, loss, major life transitions—these experiences can fundamentally shift how we see ourselves and move through the world. When we're trying to protect ourselves from more pain, we can end up closing off the parts of us that are open to joy, connection or new experiences.
Therapy helps reconnect you to those distant parts of yourself, restoring access to the full range of who you are and what you're capable of.
Navigating social anxiety, identity questions, performance pressure, perfectionism, and the feelings of loneliness.
Adjusting to life in a new country, processing isolation and wrestling with questions of belonging and identity.
Navigating grief, identity changes, isolation, and the ongoing work of living with uncertainty and physical limitation.
Grieving someone or something after a loss can be a heavy load to bear. Grief doesn't adhere to schedules and there can be many conflicting emotions at play, or a feeling a needing to "be strong" for others around you.
Whether that's pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, infertility, pregnancy loss, or choosing not to have children. I work with the identity shifts, grief, anxiety, overwhelming demands, and complicated feelings that can accompany these experiences.
The free consult call will provide us with 30 minutes to get to know each other, ask questions, and see if we might be a good fit for therapy. There is absolutely no pressure to book at the end of the call. We will hang up and I'll let you decide if you want to move forward with scheduling a first session with me.
This session as a more in depth "getting to know you" to help us get started. I like to think of therapy like you've invited me over to your metaphorical home. What are the "house rules", how many rooms are there and what's in them, should I take my shoes off before coming inside? We may not make it to the scary basement on the first day, but that's okay. This session is all about starting the tour and beginning to explore the house together.
I maintain a 24-hour cancellation policy to protect both my client's time and mine, and to ensure fair treatment and scheduling access for all clients. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full session fee.
If you need to cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours' notice, I'm happy to work with you to find another time —or we can arrange a telehealth session if meeting in person is no longer possible.
My practice operates outside of the Dutch healthcare insurance system. This means sessions are self-pay, which gives us more flexibility in both scheduling and approach.
Working privately means: No referral from your GP required, No waiting lists, Full privacy (no mandatory reporting to insurance companies), Flexible session length and frequency.
I'm happy to provide detailed invoices that some clients successfully submit for partial reimbursement through supplementary insurance (aanvullende verzekering). Whether your insurance will cover any portion depends on your specific policy, so I recommend checking with your provider.
